""SSC General Contractors just finished a rock wall and pool prep for us, and they were fantastic. It’s hard to find a crew that handles heavy site work with this much care. The wall looks like a custom estate feature, and the pool excavation was spot on. They were easy to work with and very respectful of our yard. 10/10 highly recommend for any major residential project."

"Great guy very friendly and gets things done right"

"SCC general contractors are the best! I’ve hired them a couple of times and I will continue to use them in future projects. This last job involved basement flooding. They actually knew what to do and solved the issue correctly. I am truly impressed with them and their work. I call Randy a tornado! That man works fast and furious! 😄."

"Highly recommend! They’ve helped us with everything from retaining walls and landscaping to water and sewer repairs — and every job has been done with care and real attention to detail. They’re super experienced, easy to communicate with, and always make sure the work is done right the first time. It’s hard to find reliable people these days, but this crew goes above and beyond. Definitely my go-to for anything around the property."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Super impressed with the work! The crew was professional, showed up on time, and handled everything from start to finish with zero stress. They did a retaining wall and some landscaping for us, and later helped with water line repairs — everything turned out great. They kept us in the loop the whole time, and you can tell they really know what they’re doing. Highly recommend if you want reliable service and quality results."

"Did a great job on replacing my sewer line. Worked through the rain, no issues."

"My previous excavators decided the commercial projects were more worth their time and money. After promising they would finish my excavation for my driveway and final grade all summer, I found myself in September and they were no where done. Shane from SSC General Contractors came in and finished the project with plenty of time to spare. He did exactly what needed to be done. Worked well with me and the city inspectors, which says a lot because the city inspectors weren't easy to work with. He showed up when he said he would, worked hard, made things look good. He was very much appreciated and just what we needed."

"We were 100% pleased with the work done in our Avenues backyard last week. Shane did a fantastic and thorough job of excavating, raising & leveling, a large part of our yard then surrounding with a beautiful retaining wall, using boulders. His skills with a backhoe were impressive! His price was very fair, he was reliable & got the job done in a timely way and exactly as promised. I'll definitely hire this company again! We recommend highly."

"SSC contractors have been fantastic to work with over the last several years! They are honest, dependable and do great work! Shane and his staff have taken care of us and I would highly recommend them for any and all of your landscaping needs big or small! If I could give more than 5 stars I would! Paul"

"Reliable, reasonable and great work! Would recommend to friends and family!"

"Shane did an excellent job on the French drain in my back yard. It was less than 2 weeks from giving a bid to completion of the work. I liked how he explained what the problems were with the drainage, and what would be an effective way to address it. When it was all done, the sod was replaced and watered in. Highly recommend."

"Shane did a great job! He showed up on time he worked with our schedule IHe went out of his way to do a great job! Definitely going to use him next time I have a project. Highly recommend him to all my friends and Neighbors!!"

"Excellent craftsmanship. Good quality and very reliable. Absolutely delighted with the result."

"Best in the business!!"

"Shane and his crew are the best contractors I've ever worked with. Friday I requested they look at my project. Monday they were out to look. Tuesday they gave me a very reasonable bid -- on paper. Wednesday they poured the footings for the wall. Thursday they poured the retaining wall. Monday the popped the forms off and cleaned up. Shane communicated with me at every step. The bid was comparable to others I got. Very satisfied. I would definitely use them again."

"100% awesome contractor! I’ve done a lot of remodels In Sugarhouse and the Avenues over the last ten years and wish I’d found them sooner. We did a pretty big basement remodel + excavation + windows and they were fast, clean, efficient and got everything done right on time. Pricing was really great! I highly recommend them and already have referred to my friends and family."

"Shane was great to work with. Great communication, easy to work with, finished the project on time, and had quality workmanship."

"Found Shane through Home Advisors, he was great to work with and showed up when he said he would and did quality work."

"We had SCC do a bunch of excavating in our back yard. Not only were they very good at what they do, they were also very responsive and professional. We couldn't be happier with the work they did for us and would 100% recommend them to anyone and plan on using them in the future as well."

"I don't ever write reviews but I feel I need to give credit when credit is due. SSC is amazing!! Received bids for a walk out basement and rv pad from 3 other contractors prior to a friend recommending SSC. I am truly amazed by the price and the quick response that was provided in comparison to the other bids. SSC was way more affordable and was able to start and complete the job much quicker than the others. Thank again guys!! I will be sure to send everyone I know. AJ"

"I went through the ringer calling several companies with no luck. I called SSC and Shane came to quote our my job the same day. I thought he provided a fair price, and decided to go forward. Shane and crew arrived at 9 the next day and gave me a beautiful new, level driveway. Quick, painlessly, professional and friendly, and great work!"

"SSC General Contractors did excellent work installing two drains in a new paver patio. Another installer left the job with bad pitch, so water did not flow off. Also SSC reinstalled the Melville caps for our walking path which was on an uneven hill and they turned out great. They were on time and very easy to work with and actually listened to my vision of the pathway. I give them the highest recommendation!"

"Shane was great to work with and he was really good about staying in touch with me during the process starting from day one with the bid. Once they started, they got the job done fast and the quality was amazing. I couldn't be happier with my retaining wall. I am definitely going to use him on my next projects and would recommend him. Thanks Shane."

"Shane and his excellent crew of Jake, Rob, and Randy at SSC General Contractors did a great job excavating my yard, installing egress window wells, a chain link fence with a door, and remediation work of my landscape to channel water away from my house. The drains and gutter downspouts they buried underground and connected to a pop up valve they installed work great for my yard. They cleaned up after themselves everyday which I very much appreciate. They were consistent, worked hard, had great attitudes, were responsive to my requests and smiled a lot. Thank you all for your hard work. Elaine Hillas Salt Lake City"
